Redemption is my word for 2019 if you want to read more about it you can here. Today is Thanksgiving Day and my heart is so full it’s overwhelming!
All holidays are hard ever since my parent’s divorce and my brothers’ death. My family is in pieces and holidays just highlight it tenfold. I’m sure many of you relate to this.
I planned and planned for our Thanksgiving dinner this year. It is Ian’s favorite holiday and I really wanted it to be special for him! This would be our first one just the two of us since we are in a brand new state without any of our family nearby, but it was just about as perfect as it could get!
Although, during dinner, I saw all the food laid out on our table and felt so rested and overwhelmed with gratitude. I didn’t deserve any of this.
I looked at Ian and said, “I am just so happy” and started to cry. He scooted his chair and full belly closer to me and loved on me.
The Lord reminded me of His promise and the word He gave earlier this year, redemption. I didn’t know how or in what way but I knew He would restore, renew and redeem my brokenness. And sure enough, He did.
He can and will do it for you too. Just ask Him.
In this season of gratitude and on this Thanksgiving Day, I am most thankful for Him.
I hope this inspired and encouraged you! If it did, send this to someone you know who is struggling.
